Dock Booties?!
Who’s enjoying this cold snap we’re in the middle of? I didn’t think so… well grab your coveralls and shove some huntin’ mittens under your welding gloves because work doesn’t stop for the cold!
Last week we had to pause our two new dock builds for some maintenance and repairs for our clients. That wind storm last week was a doozy, and there is no avoiding certain damage from our lovely mother nature. It’s part of owning docks on the lake; you get storms, you get wind damage, you get Thomasson Construction to fix them.
This week we are continuing to finish phase one of a new dock build. This requires a lot of measuring, cutting, measuring some more, fitting, welding, assembling, and the list goes on and on.
We currently have two upper structures finished and ready for paint, the first dock bottom at the galvanizer, and as our media manager, Michelle, gives you this update, we are finishing the second dock bottom.
Monday will be a swap day for the dock booties, and after the rain this coming week, we are supposed to be in the clear for this cold crap (so they say)! That’s when the attentive painting begins! We sure do love a good clean job getting close to delivery.
We hope your pipes aren’t freezing and y’all are staying warm!
And don’t forget… if you can’t find hard working people, be hard working people.
Thomasson Construction
