Merry or Monotony?

Some weeks look quite similar in the dock construction business, and some people might consider that monotonous. But for us, this week was just as enjoyable as the last! We are still working on the new dock builds and they are looking good!

Why does new dock construction take time?

Obviously, it is not a quick task… if we were to focus solely on a brand-new dock build and nothing else, it would take around 3 months from start to finish. But when we get the go ahead to start on these new docks, we can’t just leave our existing clients high and dry with the projects they need done. It’s a dance that requires skill and a lot of detailed time management. We do our best to assign certain days for maintenance & repairs, adjustments, and new installations. Then we take the remaining days of the week to put in all efforts of completing new docks (all of this typically alternates). This ensures that we are giving full attention to each of our clients’ needs while getting each project done in a timely manner.

This week we had a couple clients with some storm damage (mother nature can be so rude), so we got them all taken care of with cable adjustments and anchor drops. We also did some typical lake life dock repairs, fixed a few dock railings, and an upper deck repair.

Along with the classic customer calls, we have been welding, grinding, and buffing away on our new dock build! This past week’s weather has made all this hard work even more enjoyable than it always is for our crew!

If you missed our weekly weather report, you can find it over on our Facebook Page and Instagram where we keep y’all up to date on what mother nature has in store for us.

And don’t forget… if you can’t find hard working people, be hard working people.
