Busy Contentment

Picture this… there’s a nice breeze flowing through your beard as you leave the peninsula. You’re on your way to a new customer’s dock they asked you to fix up. You have an ice-cold water in your hand, your summer tan starting to peak through your warm skin, and you listen to the sound of the waves sloshing and swaying beneath the barge. This is the fourth day this week you’ve been on the water helping your customers get the repairs they need, and you’re feeling really good - in a calm but sudden moment you hear a seagull… that’s a good sign… it means summer is around the bend. Gazing out into the water you feel as if life couldn’t be any better.

Sounds like a lovely story, right?! Well, that’s exactly the kind of week Thomasson Construction has had! We finished welding and painting our first dock build of the year and got the staircase built for it; checking things off the to-do list for that build is one of the best feelings!

We started on a new customer’s walkway… replacing foam blocks and examined the damaged due to the storm.

For another customer, we put a walkway back up in its proper place, rebuilt the hinges, fixed the dock damage, raised the sway braces, and reattached everything getting this customer’s walkway and dock in tip top shape again.

And today we’re out on the water once again getting customer needs met. We couldn’t be more grateful for the support and dedication our customers show us, and this week has proven once again that if you take care of your people, you’re automatically filled with delight!

The Thomasson Construction team hopes y’all have a great weekend and get a chance to enjoy this beautiful weather!

For this week’s weather report, head on over to our Facebook and Instagram pages where we keep you up to date on weather changes and storms; however, I don’t think we have to worry about any of that this week! Follow us anyway and get a quick screenshot of the forecast.

And don’t forget… If you can’t find hard working people, be hard working people.
