The Decking Doctors
This past week’s forecast reminded me of something my dad asked me years ago…
“What does everyone listen to, but no one believes??
The weather reporter!!”
I know, I’m sorry. I’ll put the dad jokes away… for now.
Anyway, this week was up and down on what we were told the forecast would be, but that did not prohibit us from getting our to-do list accomplished.
In regards to the new dock build, we installed all the nailers on the upper and lower decks this week! We also got the deck boards installed on the upper deck, and the closet is almost finished!
Previously, we replaced the base of an existing client’s dock, and this week went over and redecked it all to make it spick and span.
Spick and span
/,spik en ‘span/
Adjective
Spotlessly clean and well looked after.
“Our welding trucks look spick and span.”
After redecking multiple docks, we decided to test our 2024 sea leg tolerance. We took the boats around to check on docks, cables, band boards, walkways, and everything else in our Maintenance Program checklist for our existing program clients.
The final check box for this week was to start building a brand new walkway, which is a perfect project for rainy days!
Oh hey… real quick…
Why did the woman go outside with her purse open??
Because she expected some change in the weather!!
I’ll see myself out…
Let’s go out this weekend and enjoy the early summer Texas weather before it tries to melt us in a couple months!
Don’t forget… if you can’t find hard working people, be hard working people.
